Summerfield Vineyard & Winery

Amongst the breathtaking landscape of the Pyrenees Ranges is the scenic and peaceful Summerfield Wines, where the family history is as rich as the majestic vines that flourish and grow on the site. Ian Summerfield planted the first 10 acres of Shiraz vines in 1970, and from there, his deep and underlying passion for winemaking took off and Summerfield Wines was established.
For more than forty years the father and son team of Ian and Mark have used traditional winemaking methods, such as hand-picking grapes, open vat fermenters, basket pressing and barrel maturation, to produce deep, hearty and bold premium red wines. Minimal intervention is at the heart of the winemaking process at Summerfield Wines to create these award-winning wines. With more than 19 hectares under vine on site, the love and care that the winemakers put into each bottle can be tasted with every sip.
With a 5-Red Star James Halliday rating, and more than 150 accolades to its name, Summerfield Wines’ excellence has been continually recognised throughout the years.
Summerfield is always a winery first; but with a lot of passion, hard-work and with a great team we have been able to create a destination boasting a restaurant, accommodation and bakery, where hundreds of people come to relax and enjoy our fine produce every week.
