Meet the Growers & Producers in the Central Highlands of Victoria
Beckworth Retreat has Australian White sheep on a property near Mt Beckworth. These sheep are hardy, shedding sheep that have been recently bred in the highlands of NSW. The meat is high in Omega 3 witih a low melting point for the fat resulting in deliciously tender roast dishes. These premium lamb cuts are provided in the Paddock to Plate business - both delivered to the door in bulk or available in individual cuts at our local Talbot Farmers Market.
Tuki is a special getaway situated on historic “Stoney Rises”. The property is a traditional grazing property, the woolshed, miner’s cottage and stable restaurant being original buildings. The area has been farmed for over 150 years.
Moonambel Gap Olives is situated in the Pyrenees Ranges of Central Victoria, the heart of Pyrenees Wine Country. Moonambel is a small town, its name is a local Aboriginal term meaning "Hollow in the Hills".
Moonambel Gap Olive Grove was established in 1998 by Peter & Helen Yuille. The grove has 850 trees, made up of the varieties Correggiola, Frantoio and Manzanillo situated on approximately 4 hectares of the property.
The trees grow in ideal conditions with cold, wet winters and long hot summers. Thus producing a Tuscan style blend of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, similar to that found in Italy, although with a flavour that is unique to the Moonambel Area.
