A three course lunch created to exhibit the versatility of the Meredith Dairy products and the exceptional quality of Dairy Capretto

Set in Meredith Dairy’s newly opened café and store in the heart of the township of Meredith, this event will focus on the paddock-to-plate journey, from sheep and goat dairy products to processing dairy capretto. Each course will show case the produce from the farm matched with local wines. Hear about the challenges and highlights of the journey from wool growers to cheese makers and the expansion beyond dairy to promote the delicious, and often overlooked, dairy goat meat.

Experience a unique culinary adventure as we take you on a journey along the stunning Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail, including a picnic on the historic Nimons Bridge.

Itinerary:

  • 10:30am: Meet at the Courthouse Hotel, Smythesdale, to begin your journey.

  • 11:00am: Enjoy complimentary canapés and a drink at the Scarsdale Hotel.

  • 12:00pm: Arrive at Nimons Bridge for a picturesque picnic featuring a picnic lunch with locally sourced food, paired with two complimentary drinks.

  • 2:30pm: Return to the Courthouse Hotel, Smythesdale, for live music, drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere to cap off your day.
